Shanghai STEP Electric Corporation was founded in 1995, is a national key high-tech enterprise, national innovative enterprise. Shanghai STEP Electric Corporation is a member of National Robotics Standardization Group, member of National Elevator Standardization Technical Committee, vice chairman of China Robotics Industry Alliance, vice chairman of Shanghai Robotics Industry Association and vice chairman of Shanghai Intelligent Manufacturing Industry Association.

With motion control technology as the core, STEP focuses on servo drive, variable frequency speed control, robot and industrial controller products, develops digitalization and intelligence, and provides customers with quality integrated solutions for intelligent manufacturing.

Our products and solutions are widely used in 3C electronics, lithium, semiconductor, photovoltaic, logistics, food & beverage, medical, automotive, dispensing, laser, machine tool, elevator, pump, HVAC, rubber & plastic, general energy saving, engineering machinery, metal products, chemical products, home furniture and other industries and segments, serving more than 110 countries and regions worldwide.

With a post-doctoral research station and a national CNAS-accredited technical center laboratory, STEP has established R&D centers in Shanghai, Shenzhen, Xi'an, Hangzhou, Germany and Japan. STEP has participated in the preparation and revision of many national technical standards and industry technical standards. As of mid-2022, STEP has obtained 730 national authorized patents, including 242 invention patents and 266 software copyrights.

Headquartered in Shanghai, STEP has set up production bases in Shanghai, Suzhou, Hangzhou, Shenzhen and Anhui, and more than 20 business outlets across China. Based on the globalization strategy, STEP has set up overseas subsidiaries in Germany, Japan, India and Malaysia, and will set up more global business outlets to continue to explore the global market.
