2022-04-24
As a publicly listed company and a nationally recognized civilized unit, Shanghai STEP Electric Co., Ltd. consistently upholds its commitment to fulfilling social responsibilities. The company’s Party Committee has actively launched targeted assistance initiatives, pairing up with Xinfeng Village in Nanxiang Town to jointly carry out epidemic prevention and control efforts and effectively relieve work pressure. As of now, the company’s Party Committee has donated supplies—including milk, self-heating meals, instant noodles, eight-treasure porridge, masks, and disinfectant—to the Party Branch Committee of Xinfeng Village.
On April 18, the Jiading District Federation of Industry and Commerce (General Chamber of Commerce) launched its “United in Fighting the Epidemic and Ensuring Supply” initiative in the Qingyi Community of Nanxiang Town. The epidemic prevention supplies donated by STEP have arrived at the entrance of the neighborhood committee, including protective suits and isolation gowns.
Through the District Brightness Project Promotion Association, a donation of 1 million yuan has been made, specifically earmarked for the procurement of epidemic prevention supplies and daily necessities for Nanxiang Town and Malu Town. Wu Yuhui, President of Shanghai STEP Electric Co., Ltd., said that STEP has been rooted in Nanxiang for over 20 years, and giving back to the local community and contributing to society is part of STEP’ corporate culture.
“We will make proper and efficient use of these epidemic prevention supplies, primarily providing them to property management staff, members of the owners’ committee, and community volunteers,” said Gui Yiping, Secretary of the Party Branch of Qingyi Community. According to him, Qingyi Community comprises a total of three residential complexes and three property management companies, and the number of community volunteers has reached nearly one hundred. Daily consumption of protective suits and other protective equipment is substantial.
STEP actively responds to the call of the district Federation of Industry and Commerce, promotes the entrepreneurial spirit, proactively fulfills its social responsibilities, and provides human, intellectual, and material support to fight against the epidemic. The epidemic situation remains severe and complex, and STEP will actively support the district’s Federation of Industry and Commerce in jointly fighting the epidemic and overcoming these difficult times together.
