1. High-speed palletizing robot
To ensure stable and high-speed operation of the robot, the STEP Robotics R&D team has paid close attention to every single detail—from component selection and mechanical design, to current fluctuations and equipment temperature rise, from dynamic algorithms and trajectory planning, to experimental testing and on-site application—over an extended period. Benchmarking against imported models, the SP120/2400HS palletizing robot has once again achieved a breakthrough, increasing its cycle rate from 1,000 packages per hour to 1,200 packages per hour.
STEP Palletizing Robot Application Launch Event
At the “STEP Palletizing Robot Application Launch Event” held at the exhibition site, R&D engineer Mr. Guo unveiled the high-speed palletizing robot model “SP120/2400 (HS Version).” He explained the core technologies behind its “speed.” Based on a flexible dynamics model, multiple trajectory smoothing techniques and online real-time lookahead capabilities have enabled breakthroughs in software technology. Meanwhile, upgrades to hardware—including core components, overtemperature protection, and the control system—have been achieved. The robot also features an advanced palletizing function package that enables automatic generation of stacking programs in just five steps, significantly enhancing ease of use. Application cases of this palletizing workstation across various industries have validated its outstanding performance.
2. Member of the SD7 Series Robot Dance Troupe
SD7 Series Robots: Faster, More Stable, and More Precise
The body features a lightweight design, occupying less floor space and boasting a more compact structure. Its adaptive flexible control system, built upon an accurate flexible modeling of the system, integrates load feedforward technology and an adaptive servo control algorithm to effectively suppress vibrations. Based on the precise flexible model, a variable inertia control algorithm optimizes cycle times. A flexible precision compensation technique, which involves constructing a static compensation model to correct the robot’s end-effector’s absolute position, significantly enhances the robot’s absolute positioning accuracy. The system supports drag-and-teach functionality and collision detection. Relying on the precise dynamic model identified by STEP Robotics’ advanced dynamics algorithm, it can accurately predict the motor torque during robot motion without requiring additional sensors, thereby enabling highly precise collision detection.
3. Laser solution for welding points on carriage panels
Spot Laser Function Package: More Efficient Welding Positioning
The STEP point laser function package supports a variety of point-laser distance sensors and can perfectly replace all the functions currently provided by wire-based positioning systems. It requires no contact, eliminates the need for wire trimming, and can accurately determine the workpiece position by edge detection from any direction. The open API enables a wide range of extended applications and provides a parameterized editing interface.
4. Sheet Metal Bending Solutions
Bending-specific robot: Customized for deep metal bending.
The STEP bending-specific robot features an innovative mechanical structure that eliminates the need for pit installations or elevated platforms typically required when using general-purpose robots, thereby achieving perfect compatibility between the robot and the bending machine. Its innovative motion trajectory and bending-following capability enable simultaneous improvements in bending efficiency and product quality compliance.
5. Robot Vision High-Speed Capture Platform
The platform consists of the Zhongweixing GR4215 high-speed robot body, the QC410 integrated drive and control unit, and the AVS vision system. It is equipped with the robot software ARStudio and the vision system software AVS 4.00.
The GR4251 high-speed robot, based on a full-dynamic model, can predict changes in the robot’s inertia, automatically calculate the optimal acceleration, and dynamically adjust servo control to limit torque spikes and adapt to inertia variations. It delivers high response speed and exceptional positioning accuracy—its AVS vision system achieves a positioning accuracy of up to 1/64 pixel. The robot supports automatic calibration in all installation orientations. The integrated fly-capture technology, combining the robot and vision system, significantly reduces application process time, with overall machine accuracy within ±0.025 mm.
Applicable scenarios: material insertion, auxiliary material pasting, high-speed camera-based visual positioning, multi-tool material assembly, and more.
6. Dual-machine locking and unloading workstation
The Zhongweixing PR5216 robotic screw-fastening solution employs a pneumatic feeding system paired with a SCARA robot for fastening, while an air-suction SCARA robot is used for disassembly, creating a complete fastening operation cycle. This solution fully integrates intelligent electric screwdrivers and fastening processes, featuring torque-angle monitoring and real-time recording of fastening results. It also includes error detection and correction functions for issues such as floating fasteners, stripped screws, and misaligned slots, as well as constant-force pressing. Applicable industries include 3C electronics, white goods, plastic hardware, toys, and more.
7. GR High-Speed Handling Workstation
The GR robot incorporates kinematic design principles and is equipped with the latest-generation QC410 controller from Zhongweixing, intuitively demonstrating a significant increase in overall machine speed and a fivefold improvement in system’s comprehensive computing performance. It excels in light-load high-speed handling, visual assembly, precision component insertion, synchronous gripping, dispensing, soldering, and labeling. Application industries include: 3C electronics, automotive electronics, white goods, food and pharmaceuticals, new energy, optical instruments, plastics and hardware, and more.
8. Arc-Synchronous Following Sorting Workstation
The suspended robot, in conjunction with a vision system, achieves arc-synchronized following for pick-and-place operations. The vision system dynamically recognizes, precisely classifies, and accurately locates objects, while the robot performs arc-synchronized following to ensure precise positioning. Application industries: This solution is ideal for precision visual labeling under special installation conditions, high-speed material handling, and assembly tasks.
9. Robot Unsorted Sorting Technology Experience Station
At the STEP Robot Unsorted Sorting Technology Experience Station, you can see our latest lightweight high-speed robot, the SD7, as well as the very latest machine vision technology.
In such a workstation, thanks to 2D plus deep-learning technology, the robot can easily sort and pick out different beverages—such as Coke, Sprite, and Fanta. Meanwhile, by leveraging 3D structured-light technology, the robot can precisely locate the position of aluminum cans, enabling it to perform accurate grasping actions. In fact, this technology has extremely broad applications: it can be used in the logistics industry for mixed-item sorting and code recognition, and it can also be applied in machine tools for loading and unloading irregularly shaped components. It’s safe to say that the latest 3D vision technologies are empowering robots, continually expanding their range of applications.
