China International Machine Tool Show
From April 17 to 22, the 15th China International Machine Tool Exhibition was grandly held at the China International Exhibition Center in Beijing. As one of the world’s four most influential exhibitions in the machine tool industry, this year’s event showcased the latest achievements of Chinese and foreign companies in intelligent manufacturing and Industry 4.0, once again making it a global focal point for the manufacturing sector.

Automation workstation
At the exhibition, STEP Robot teamed up with American Haas Machine Tools to create an automated work cell. The work cell features one STEP SA1800 robot. Inside the machine tool, the robot takes 5 seconds to load and unload parts; outside the machine tool, it takes 15 seconds. The CNC lathe has a cycle time of 60 seconds, while the machining center has a cycle time of 80 seconds, resulting in an overall cycle time of 180 seconds for the entire process. Thanks to the seamless integration between STEP Robot and the CNC lathe and machining center, the entire production process is fully automated.
Qingdao Pharmaceutical Machinery Exhibition
As the fragrant blooms of April come to an end across the land, the cherry blossoms in Qingdao are just beginning to burst into full bloom. From April 19 to 21, at the Qingdao International Expo Center along Huiquan Bay, STEP Robotics, together with several renowned pharmaceutical machinery manufacturers, made their debut at the 53rd (Spring 2017) National Pharmaceutical Machinery Expo and the 2017 (Spring) China International Pharmaceutical Machinery Expo, showcasing a variety of robotic products developed by STEP specifically for pharmaceutical automation.

Palletizing station at the end of the packaging line
At the Longyan Machinery booth, we’re showcasing the STEP high-speed handling and palletizing robot SP120, which is designed for use at the end-of-line palletizing station in packaging lines. It achieves a stable cycle rate of 900 cycles per hour, meeting the palletizing requirements of most pharmaceutical companies. As an intelligent robotic solution, the SP120 can be integrated with MES and ERP systems, helping enterprises achieve unmanned operations and elevate their level of smart manufacturing.

SCARA robot on the production line
At Hualian, Huake, Haixiang, and Haituozhan, the Zhongweixing SCARA robots under the STEP brand were showcased, deployed at transfer stations in production lines such as ampoule blister packing and cartonizing. The robots maintain a stable cycle time of 45 cycles per minute.
