From April 12 to 14, the 2017 China Refrigeration Exhibition was held with great success at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. Shanghai Xinglinna STEP Motor Co., Ltd. showcased its presence at the 2017 China Refrigeration Exhibition under the theme “Craftsmanship, Intelligent Cooling, Green Solutions, and Win-Win Cooperation.” The company not only introduced new products such as liquid-cooled inverter cabinets for aircraft, low-harmonic centrifugal compressor-specific inverters, lightweight commercial inverter drive modules, and dedicated inverters for new-energy vehicle air conditioners, but also shared technical insights on “Application of Motor Control Technology in the HVAC Industry” with professional visitors.

The new-generation variable-frequency drive product series not only showcases its own strength but also draws significant attention from the industry. Zhang Chaohui, Secretary-General of the China Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Industry Association, visited the booth and took a keen interest in examining each exhibit. He praised STEP as an outstanding representative of domestically produced variable-frequency drives and expressed his hope that STEP will continue to make its due contribution on the path of providing core driving force for the air-conditioning and HVAC industry.

Gongkong.com, a Chinese industrial control website, conducted an on-site report and interviewed Jin Xinhai, Director of the Central Research Institute of STEP and General Manager of Shanghai Xinglinna STEP Motor Co., Ltd. “Looking back at the R&D journey of the HVAC industry, we need to examine it from two distinct perspectives,” said Jin Xinhai. “One is the development of core platform algorithms at STEP—currently, we’ve already reached the third-generation platform, which represents STEP greatest competitive advantage. It’s precisely based on this core algorithmic platform that STEP has been able to develop another product line specifically tailored for the HVAC sector. At present, STEP HVAC products are divided into three major segments: first, large-scale central air-conditioning systems; second, air-conditioning systems for new-energy buses; and third, light-commercial products.”

On the morning of the 13th, STEP held a technical exchange meeting titled “Application of Motor Control Technology in the HVAC Industry” in Conference Room E1-M14. The keynote speaker was Dr. Wei Chen, Deputy Director of STEP Central Research Institute. He introduced STEP high-efficiency solutions, wide-operation-range solutions, low-noise solutions, environmentally friendly solutions, and high-reliability solutions tailored for the HVAC industry.
