2021-05-29

May 28, In Shanghai, at the STEP Robot Superfactory, a grand ceremony was held to mark the rollout of STEP 20,000th robot. As it matches the performance of international brands. Palletizing robot SP120/2400 As the event gradually came to a close, the more than 100 guests in attendance jointly witnessed this historic moment.
Guests including Song Xiaogang, Executive Vice President of the China National Machinery Industry Federation; Dai Liu, Director of the Finance and Economic Committee of the Standing Committee of the Shanghai Municipal People’s Congress and President of the Shanghai Robotics Industry Association; Han Dadong, Director of the Intelligent Manufacturing Promotion Division of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization; Li Qian, Deputy General Manager of Suzhou Green Harmonic Drive Technology Co., Ltd.; and Chen Guang, Director of Investment at CITIC Innovation Investment, as well as representatives of STEP Robot’s users and partners, and leaders including Wu Yuhui, Director and General Manager of STEP Robot, attended the meeting.
Speech by Song Xiaogang, Executive Vice Chairman of the China National Machinery Industry Federation
Song Xiaogang, Executive Vice Chairman of the China National Machinery Industry Federation, believes that after a decade of development, China’s robotics industry has become increasingly mature, giving rise to a number of outstanding domestic enterprises, including Neway Technology. China is the world’s largest robotics market, and Shanghai is a major hub for the global robotics industry—a high-tech cluster that attracts talent and cutting-edge technology, providing fertile ground for the growth of domestically produced robots. With the aging population, the shortage of the labor force, and the deepening implementation of the dual-circulation national strategy, Chinese robotics companies are entering a golden period of development. China’s robotics industry is now entering a stage of brand competition. STEP must fully leverage its advantages in talent, technology, and capital to gain market recognition.

Speech by Dai Liu, President of the Shanghai Robotics Industry Association
In his speech, Dai Liu, Director of the Finance and Economic Committee of the Standing Committee of the Shanghai Municipal People’s Congress and President of the Shanghai Robotics Industry Association, recalled the scene four years ago when he attended the groundbreaking ceremony for STEP Robot’s super factory. Today, seeing STEP momentum in the robotics industry growing stronger and stronger fills him with great satisfaction. In December 2020, the STEPeng Robotics Intelligent Factory officially commenced operations and was recognized as one of the first 20 intelligent factories in Shanghai, receiving high attention from the Shanghai municipal government. He encouraged STEP to fully leverage its technological strengths, capitalize on Shanghai’s geographical advantages, serve the entire country, actively expand overseas, and build an internationally renowned brand in the field of intelligent manufacturing.

Speech by Wu Yuhui, General Manager of STEP
In his speech, Wu Yuhui, General Manager of STEP, pointed out that after ten years of development, STEP has rolled off the 20,000th robot from its production line, marking STEP as the first domestic robot manufacturer to join the global club of companies producing over 20,000 industrial robots. According to data compiled and analyzed by the industry consulting firm MIR, STEP is the first Chinese robot manufacturer to have cumulatively shipped over 10,000 units. From 2015 to 2020, it ranked among the top ten in cumulative shipments in the Chinese market, placing first among domestic brands. In light of today’s achievements, we would like to extend special gratitude to Mr. Ji Defa, the founder of STEP, for his visionary foresight. Under Mr. Ji Defa’s leadership, STEP chose the path of industrial robotics and has consistently and persistently invested in this field. It is precisely the company culture that strives for excellence in everything we do, coupled with long-term, large-scale R&D investments, that has propelled STEP to its current heights.
Wu Yuhui, General Manager of STEP, stated that STEP strategic goal is to become a renowned brand in the field of intelligent manufacturing, adhering to STEP principles. Benchmark against imports, and surpass them. The company’s strategy will continue to lead China’s robotics industry toward higher levels of development and promote the transformation of “Made in China” toward high-quality growth. Faced with rapidly growing market demand, STEP will focus its efforts on industries such as 3C electronics, automotive components, construction machinery, power equipment, grain and oil products, and building materials, thereby earning widespread market recognition.

As one of the first domestic brands to enter the robotics industry, STEP has, over the past decade, achieved technological breakthroughs and earned widespread market recognition. In the field of robotics, STEP has... SCARA and six-axis robots Products. The company’s SCARA robotics technology and product strengths are evident and have already reached an internationally leading level, earning high recognition and positive feedback from customers. Thanks to continuous iterative improvements—particularly breakthroughs in dynamics algorithms—the performance of STEP robots has advanced dramatically, enabling them to compete on an equal footing with renowned international brands in fields such as palletizing robots and welding robots. In the realm of intelligent manufacturing, the company possesses core technologies and a long-established capability in developing comprehensive system solutions. Leveraging its 29-year expertise in automotive white-body system integration, the company is using the construction machinery industry as a strategic entry point and will subsequently expand into more general industrial sectors, successfully delivering an increasing number of intelligent manufacturing projects.
