Powered by the cutting-edge G-CLOUD technology of the new-generation elevator cloud, we’ve achieved all-round performance enhancements. In addition, the Sirius door operator stands out for its ultra-thin design, intelligence, efficiency, and low failure rate, effectively addressing issues such as the chimney effect in high-rise elevators. Its overall technical level is at the forefront of the industry. Moreover, our new products—including the G9000 elevator control cabinet, escalator variable-frequency drives, and human-machine interfaces—are tailored to meet user needs and boast numerous outstanding features.

In 2023, STEP will remain committed to a customer-centric philosophy. Through our continuous efforts and strength, we will work hand in hand with ecosystem partners and customers to achieve win-win cooperation.

The next-generation elevator cloud G-CLOUD is released.

Since its launch, Elevator Cloud has been hailed as a guardian of safety and efficiency in the elevator aftermarket, seamlessly connecting various stakeholders across the elevator ecosystem—including components suppliers, manufacturers, maintenance providers, property management companies, passengers, and regulatory authorities. Du Chao, Product Line Manager for STEPeng Elevator Cloud, stated that Elevator Cloud leverages STEP advanced control system and utilizes holographic communication to display real-time elevator data on the platform. This ultimately enables on-demand maintenance, promotes elevator intelligence, and supports customers’ digital transformation.

This time, with continuous refinement by STEP, the three functions of Elevator Cloud—cloud supervision, cloud services, and cloud guardianship—have undergone a brand-new upgrade.

Elevator Cloud – Cloud-Based Supervision

We provide precise integration with government platforms to support customer elevator acceptance inspections. Our integrated EOCD (Elevator Operation Characteristic Diagnostic Device) collects real-time data on elevator mechanical vibrations, electrical parameters, and door-machine operations, enabling proactive early warnings and achieving fault prediction throughout the elevator’s entire lifecycle. Users can monitor the elevator’s operational status in real time via web or mobile app, and receive alert notifications when necessary. We also offer a comprehensive local area network solution.

Elevator Cloud – Cloud Services

Collect and analyze big data from electrical operation parameters, mechanical vibration data of elevator cars, door-machine data, and audio-video data, enabling customers to obtain on-demand maintenance qualifications. Migrating the door-machine system to the cloud and integrating it with the master control system can effectively address the chimney effect. The elevator cloud app provides remote, shared commissioning services. Military-grade blockchain encryption technology ensures that encrypted data remains tamper-proof and cannot be intercepted during transmission.

Elevator Cloud – Cloud Guardian

The emergency response process is automatically tracked and completed; audio-video interaction services provide emergency rescue support, while AI-assisted monitoring functions ensure safe elevator rides; the system also interacts with devices such as smartphones, service robots, and logistics robots.

Sirius Gate Machine Released

The Sirius door machine comes in two versions. The standard version features an industry-leading ultra-thin design with a door machine thickness of just 60mm, making it compatible with various cabin sizes and ensuring “zero” waiting time when opening and closing doors—so you’ll never feel anxious while waiting during peak hours. The more advanced Pioneer version introduces a pioneering integrated servo design, equipped with the all-in-one door controller SD380. The Sirius door machine can be seamlessly integrated with elevator cloud IoT and big-data intelligent control systems, effectively preventing people from getting trapped due to the chimney effect. Additionally, its start-stop efficiency is improved by 20%, and its noise level is 30% lower than that of conventional door machines.

The Sirius door blade is a synchronized door equipped with a car-door lock, featuring European-style outward-opening and Japanese-style inward-folding designs. It meets EN81 and GB7588 standards under all operating conditions. It’s easy to install and can handle the movement of 160 kg components without any failures after 3 million cycles. The pendulum impact and threshold recessing tests for the Sirius landing door comply with national standards and are protected by our own patents.

G9000 Smart Elevator Control Cabinet Released

The G9000 smart elevator control cabinet achieves fully automated production and assembly at STEP. The product features a fully integrated design with a four-module architecture. Its streamlined system structure and clear component layout enhance system stability and boost production efficiency. The exterior design is simple yet robust, exuding an industrial aesthetic, and offers a premium interactive experience. The cabinet shell is formed in one piece through stamping, using high-quality, environmentally friendly materials. The operation is divided into three distinct zones: in the installation/maintenance zone, users can complete wiring, while the interface allows them to perform all necessary adjustments—thus improving both convenience and safety.

Through functional enhancements, the G9000 meets the new standards' requirements for single-arm braking force testing, additional protection, electromagnetic compatibility, and more, while also achieving perfect compatibility with contactless product solutions.

AS500S Escalator Inverter Released

The AS500S heavy-duty variable frequency drive features a power range from 5.5 kW to 75 kW, fully covering the application requirements of escalators. It boasts a high power density, with a 40% improvement over the previous generation. Its slim form factor is designed to meet the size constraints of escalator machine rooms. The drive supports an operating temperature of up to 50ºC without derating, taking full account of the harsh environmental conditions typical of escalator applications. It includes built-in phase-loss detection and grid phase-sequence monitoring, simultaneously monitoring both the grid-side and motor-side voltages to enable smooth switching between mains and variable-frequency operation.

Thanks to the high-performance VF algorithm, the escalator’s starting torque performance at zero speed under full load has been significantly improved. The entire series is equipped with built-in EMC components and braking units, meeting the requirements of EN12015 and EN12016. The high-end operator comes with a built-in clock that can record 1,000 fault messages and store waveform curves at the time of a fault.

Human-Machine Interface Product Launch

At this launch event, the Xinshi human-machine interface showcased major product categories including control boxes, external call panels, display boards, control panels, and destination-selectors. Each product category can be custom-designed in terms of dimensions and materials to meet customers’ specific requirements for different application scenarios. All human-machine interface products can be integrated into a comprehensive elevator control system solution, helping users bypass the cumbersome process of selecting and configuring components individually and saving time. This approach enables the fastest possible delivery and provides a highly cost-effective competitive edge.

Faced with an overwhelming array of new products, the audience was thoroughly engaged and left wanting more. To address this, the event organizers specially added an interactive Q&A session, during which product managers patiently answered everyone’s questions about the products and services, once again bringing the atmosphere of the launch event to a fever pitch.
