The EOCD (Elevator Operation Character Device), a new, compact, and portable elevator performance diagnostic tool developed by STEPeng, is an essential data-acquisition device within the elevator cloud system. By collecting changes in acceleration, velocity, and displacement along the X, Y, and Z axes during elevator operation, it provides feedback on the ride quality and uploads the data to a smart terminal. After processing and analyzing the data via a cloud platform, the smart terminal displays corresponding data curves and detailed performance parameters, while also storing the relevant data on the cloud platform for future reference and maintenance support. With the use of the STEPeng EOCD, operators can gain a comprehensive understanding of elevator operating conditions and obtain actionable improvement recommendations, thereby enhancing passenger comfort and boosting customer satisfaction and brand loyalty toward the elevator manufacturer.
