Press the start button, and two robotic arms will instantly simulate human fingers, working in harmony to play well-known melodies such as “My Motherland and I” and “Pearl of the Orient” on the piano keys. This technologically advanced and fascinating spectacle, professionally designed and built by STEP Zhongweixing, has now officially been unveiled to the public and tourists following the recent completion of the “Bao’an Science & Technology + Cultural Creativity Pavilion” in Bao’an District’s High-Line Park for Exhibitions and Conventions.
To achieve a high-standard expansion of the Bao'an exhibition area at the 25th China Hi-Tech Fair, multiple functional bureaus—including the Bao'an District Investment Promotion Agency, the District Bureau of Science and Technology Innovation, and the District Bureau of Industry and Information Technology—as well as various subdistrict offices, have leveraged the “box”-shaped structure on the second floor of the High Line Park’s public space to create the “Bao'an Tech + Cultural Creativity Pavilion.” This pavilion provides a centralized platform for showcasing high-tech products, consumer electronics, intangible cultural heritage, and other offerings from Bao'an district enterprises.
As a national-level “Specialized, Refined, Differentiated, and Innovative” Little Giant enterprise, STEP Zhongweixing meets the basic qualification requirements for exhibitors set forth by the “Bao'an Science & Technology + Cultural & Creative Exhibition Hall.” With the support of the Fuhai Subdistrict Office, the robotic piano performance exhibit has been smoothly integrated into the “Bao’an Advanced Manufacturing in Fuhai” themed exhibition “box” pavilion. This exhibit takes full account of the characteristics of its target audience and emphasizes the educational and entertaining aspects. It features two high-speed, high-precision SCARA robots—GR4215—from STEP Zhongweixing, each equipped with a second-generation, high-performance integrated drive-and-control system that delivers even superior motion control performance. Through seamless collaboration, these robots can play pre-set musical pieces with flexibility and precision.
Moreover, the STEP Zhongwei Xing Ω6 direct-drive servo system and the SC50 high-performance motion controller also made their debut at the “Bay Area Bao’an Industrial Exhibition Center—Box” pavilion, sending a strong message to the outside world about Bao’an’s commitment to prioritizing the real economy, its steadfast dedication to manufacturing as its core industry, and its determination and confidence in accelerating the shift of its manufacturing sector toward the high-end segments of global industrial and value chains.
