That's because, due to COVID-19, most areas of Shanghai were still under lockdown. So, once the lockdown is lifted, let’s redouble our efforts to cherish and build our home—taking good care of flowers, plants, trees, and greenery.
We need to care about grain and vegetables and cultivate them diligently. But did you know that 90% of agricultural production—whether it’s fixing sand or enriching the soil—requires water? From more than a decade of collaboration between STEP and top companies in the water industry, we’ve found that agricultural irrigation covers vast areas. To meet the requirements of comprehensive irrigation as well as energy conservation and carbon reduction, often only one distribution box near a farmland or vegetable plot can provide power, necessitating extremely long motor cables for variable-frequency drive systems.
This requirement is a key feature of the Pidi 110: its reach is exceptionally long. Its arm—(the inverter output cable)—can extend up to a distance of 500 meters while still operating reliably and stably. Of course, this is made possible by the continuous algorithm upgrades from STEP’s powerful Boshuo R&D team, as well as ongoing updates and iterations in component selection and product design. With such long arms, the pump driven by Pidi 110 has a larger irrigation radius, allowing agricultural machinery to travel shorter distances and consume less electricity and fuel. Translated into reduced carbon emissions, this significantly supports our emission reduction goals.
How could a frequency converter used for irrigation possibly be afraid of water? The Pidi 110 itself is inherently rugged and durable. With an IP55 protection rating, it’s resistant to rain and can withstand low-pressure splashes from any angle without being affected. It’s also capable of withstanding the intrusion of dust and insects at typical concentrations.
In agricultural power supply, voltage instability is quite common. Typically, frequency converters can only handle grid fluctuations exceeding 10% by triggering a fault—resulting in machine shutdown and water supply interruption. This poses significant challenges to the continuous production processes in agriculture. The Pidi 110 is highly adept at withstanding power grid fluctuations. Relying on its robust busbar’s exceptional current-carrying capacity, it can even instantaneously handle extreme situations—such as brief power outages—without a hitch, navigating risks with ease. Let the customer avoid having to walk back 500 meters to restart the frequency converter.
Most civilian customers don’t have the time to learn about inverter maintenance or to delve into the meanings of inverter parameters, do they? STEP’s industry experts have already thought it through for our customers. For most applications involving residential inverters, The Pidi 110 boasts a user-friendly interface and clearly laid-out function settings. It’s essentially plug-and-play—no setup, no programming, and no debugging required, making it quick and convenient to use. If you have specific application needs, simply tap Pidi’s cute little face (the human-machine interface), follow the on-screen guidance, and easily complete the configuration by tweaking just a few numbers.
Xiao Pi Di’s design comprehensively takes into account various application scenarios for water pumps and supports multiple commonly used motor types on the market— including asynchronous motors, synchronous motors, and synchronous reluctance motors.
The PD110 frequency converter has the following capabilities:
1. Operation mode key: It supports multiple operating modes: constant-pressure water supply (constant-pressure mode), constant-current output (constant-current mode), and constant-speed operation (constant-frequency mode)—all handled with ease. Switching between these modes is as simple as one click, making it user-friendly and convenient.
2. Reverse key: If the motor wiring is misaligned and has reversed direction, don't worry—just switch with one click and easily fix it!
3. Float switch: It automatically starts and stops based on the water level, or it can be set to auto-start upon power restoration via a short circuit. Moms and dads no longer have to worry!
4. Timer key: Xiao Pi Di comes with a built-in timer function, allowing you to schedule it to start or stop automatically. Don’t worry if the farmer uncles and aunts are busy—just set it up in advance, and it’ll run automatically at the right time without any hassle. Isn’t that super convenient?
In addition, based on the application scenarios of water pumps, a specialized design has been developed. Water shortage protection, stall protection, phase-loss protection, overload protection Wait ； The constant-pressure water supply mode also features a constant-pressure sleep function. When the faucet is turned off, the pressure remains constant, allowing the system to enter sleep mode and achieve energy-saving effects.
