1. Product Application Innovation Award
With the resurgence of the epidemic, lockdowns are in effect everywhere, and everyone is required to undergo nucleic acid testing. As the soul and brain of industry, industrial control systems have ways to keep industrial operations running smoothly.
Using a remote approach spanning thousands of miles, we successfully completed the debugging of this complex project despite the barriers posed by the pandemic, fully demonstrating the STEP Iron Army’s outstanding professional capabilities as well as the user-friendliness and ease of use of STEP’s products. For this achievement, STEP was awarded the Application Innovation Award.

The “STEP Inverter Facilitates Master-Slave Control of Coal Mine Belt Conveyors, Enabling Remote Commissioning” project involves remote belt conveyors spanning several kilometers. These conveyors are widely used in industries such as coal mining, cement, and building materials. Particularly in multi-drive systems and downward-running belt conveyors, there is a significant challenge in the load distribution for variable-frequency drive applications—a level of complexity unprecedented in previous implementations.
2. Annual Leader of the Year Award In 2021, under the shadow of the pandemic, widespread shortages of components, rising raw material costs, and power restrictions posed significant challenges to manufacturing production and operational management. Faced with unprecedented difficulties, Dr. Jin Xinhai, Deputy General Manager of STEP, adopted a prudent strategic approach and met the challenges with composure.
√ He fully leverages the strengths of his own robust CNAS laboratory to vigorously strengthen and stabilize the supply chain.
√ Leveraging the IPD scientific decision-making process, we are advancing the R&D of specialized, market-ready products such as the D150 small-displacement pump controller, the AS500H high-protection variable-frequency drive, and the M210-A mini-sized variable-frequency drive.
√ Focus on R&D and innovation across the four major platforms to swiftly meet the diverse requirements of different customers and industries, thus forging a new path toward specialized, dedicated machinery and import substitution.
As a comprehensive manager, he seamlessly integrates knowledge with action and leads by example. He guided his team to bravely venture into the Gobi Desert and sandy seas, earning the company’s prestigious accolade. This highly disciplined and energetic “iron army” that he has built has enabled STEP frequency converters to thrive against all odds in the industrial control market and achieve even greater success.
Under his leadership, the STEP variable-frequency iron army is overcoming all difficulties with ease, conquering obstacles effortlessly, and forging ahead with shared determination and high spirits.
It is worth noting that, This marks the fifth consecutive year that STEP has been awarded the Annual Leader of the Year prize. We firmly believe that, under the leadership of Dr. Jin Xinhai, the STEP Variable-Frequency Drive team will remain committed to a customer-centric service philosophy, adopt innovative business models, and pursue ambitious development goals. Amidst the fierce waves of market competition, they will set sail with confidence, forge ahead bravely, and take the lead!

Annual Leader in Business Innovation Award
Dr. Jin Xinhai, Deputy General Manager of STEP
This year’s selection is hosted by China Industrial Control Network—the largest website in the industrial control industry. Due to the pandemic, the award ceremony originally scheduled for March 23 at the CAIMRS Annual Conference has been postponed.
The selection process combines user voting, market research, big data analysis, and expert evaluation to arrive at the final results. It is an annual summary with a long history in the industry, broad audience reach, transparent procedures, and fair outcomes—a prestigious award that recognizes, documents, promotes, and drives the growth of China’s manufacturing sector across the entire industrial value chain, focusing on intelligent manufacturing.
