STEP Launches a Special Campaign on Safe Production

As Shanghai entered the stage of fully restoring production and daily life on June 1, 2022, STEP various factories also began to fully resume work and production. Moreover, June coincided with the nation’s 21st “Safety Production Month.” Against this backdrop, STEP factories in Shanghai jointly organized a special event focused on safety production.
Around this year Safety Production Month—Comply with the Safety Production Law and Be the First Person Responsible The theme, while simultaneously advancing safety management for resuming work and production, prompted the following safety activities across STEP various companies:
■ Produce thematic banners for “Safety Production Month” and hang them in prominent locations throughout the company to enhance all employees’ awareness of safety production, ensuring that everyone understands and complies with the law, and further implement the primary responsibility for safety.
■ Place copies of the “Shanghai Municipal Regulations on Work Safety” as well as promotional leaflets such as “Safety Management for Resumption of Work and Production at Key Enterprises Handling Hazardous Chemicals and Industrial & Commercial Businesses,” “Safety Guidelines for Resuming Work and Production After the Epidemic,” and “The Eight Common Hazards” in appropriate locations throughout the company for employees to access. Additionally, post safety awareness posters in workshop areas. Through these materials—books, posters, and leaflets—employees can gain a deeper understanding of the Shanghai Municipal Regulations on Work Safety, enhance their risk identification skills and preventive awareness, and thereby provide strong assurance for safe production after the factory resumes operations.
■ The organization conducted self-inspections on the safety of special equipment used in resuming production and work, as well as checks for potential safety hazards in factory buildings and warehouses. Through these self-inspections and verification efforts, on-site safety hazards were promptly identified and eliminated, thereby ensuring the safe operation of production.
