According to the recently released “Notice of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization on the Publication of the First Batch of ‘Specialized, Fine, Distinctive, and Innovative’ Enterprises in Shanghai for 2022,” STEP and its subsidiary, Shanghai Xinglinna STEP Motor Co., Ltd. Recognized for their professional excellence and innovative strength in their respective fields. “2022 Shanghai ‘Specialized, Fine, and New’ Enterprises (First Batch)” , valid for three years.
“Specialized, Fine, Distinctive, and Innovative Enterprises” refer to companies that possess the characteristics of “specialization, refinement, distinctiveness, and innovation.” These enterprises are evaluated comprehensively based on indicators such as their level of specialization, innovative capacity, and operational management capabilities. They are required to focus on niche markets, have cutting-edge innovation capabilities, and master key core technologies in their respective fields.
The recognition of these two STEP companies as “Specialized, Fine, and New” enterprises by Shanghai demonstrates high appreciation for their R&D innovation capabilities, core technologies, and management systems in fields such as elevator control, variable-frequency drives, electric motors, and intelligent manufacturing. It also fully affirms STEP’s comprehensive strength, including its business development and market competitiveness.
It is worth noting that another subsidiary of STEP, Shanghai STEP Robot Co., Ltd., was first recognized as a “Specialized, Fine, and New” enterprise in Shanghai in 2016 and has successfully passed two subsequent re-evaluations.
