On August 26, 2022, the 2022 China Automation + Digitalization Industry Annual Conference—the 18th CAIMRS and the Digital Leadership Forum—organized by China Industrial Control Network, made a grand return to an in-person event, held in Beijing. This year’s summit is themed “New Cycle, New Manufacturing, New Momentum.” Together with industry leaders and representatives from leading enterprises, we will embark on a discussion about digital technologies and industrial transformation in the post-pandemic era.
As an important part of the day’s summit, China Industrial Control Network officially announced the results of the 20th Annual Automation and Digitalization Awards. Mr. Jin Xinhai, President of STEP, has won the Smart Manufacturing Leadership Award for Business Innovation for the fifth consecutive time, thanks to his innovative management philosophy. Meanwhile, “The STEP Frequency Converter Helps Achieve Master-Slave Control for Coal Mine Belt Conveyors, Enabling Remote Debugging” stood out from among numerous nominated projects and proudly won the Application Innovation Award.

Mr. Xing Hui from the STEP Drive Systems Division accepted the award on behalf of STEP. This award was granted to... STEP Drive Inverter Facilitates Master-Slave Control of Coal Mine Belt Conveyors, Enabling Remote Debugging. The project involves a long-distance belt conveyor spanning several kilometers, used in industries such as coal mining, cement, and building materials. Featuring multiple drive points and downward-running belt conveyors, it meets the requirements for load distribution. This project fully demonstrates STEP’ technological prowess and product strength in the field of variable-frequency drives, as well as the contribution of STEP’ inverters to enhancing quality and efficiency in traditional industrial sectors.
