On November 16, 2022, the “Vico Cup 2022 China Industrial Automation and Digitalization Industry Annual Awards Ceremony,” hosted by OFweek Weike Network, was held in Shenzhen. After being selected by the organizer and through online voting, and taking into account scores from industry-leading experts, the final list of 53 winners was grandly announced at the awards ceremony. Relying on its remarkable achievements in the fields of automation and digitalization, STEP has been honored as the 2022 China Smart Manufacturing Digital Factory Benchmark Enterprise.

By adopting an end-to-end digital production line, every stage of assembly becomes traceable and controllable. All data is stored in the factory’s MES system. Four-axis and six-axis robots work collaboratively, significantly boosting both production efficiency and product quality.
The STEP Robotics Superfactory, by leveraging robotic mass production of robots, has reduced its workforce by 80% and increased the first-pass yield of product testing by 15%. Empowered by highly efficient and flexible automation technologies, the factory has achieved a designed annual production capacity of 10,000 units, representing an increase of more than 30% in output efficiency per unit area compared to previous manual operations. The factory was selected as one of the first 20 smart factories in Shanghai and was recognized in 2021 as a pilot demonstration factory for intelligent manufacturing by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
