Good News | STEP Honored as a National-Level Demonstration Enterprise for Manufacturing Single-Item Champions

According to the “Notice from the General Office of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the China Federation of Industrial Economics on Carrying Out the Cultivation, Selection, and Re-evaluation of Single-Champion Enterprises (Products) in Manufacturing for 2022,” the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the China Federation of Industrial Economics have organized the cultivation and selection of the seventh batch of single-champion enterprises (products) in manufacturing, as well as the re-evaluation of the first and fourth batches of such enterprises (products). The relevant review processes have now been completed. STEP has made the list and been awarded the title of Demonstration Enterprise for the Seventh Batch of Single-Champion Enterprises in Manufacturing.
Manufacturing single-item champions are hailed as the “pearl” atop the crown of manufacturing and the “tip of the pyramid.” The Manufacturing Single-Item Champion Index reflects the overall performance of listed manufacturing companies that are deeply rooted in a specific link of the industrial chain or a particular product segment, lead the global market share in their respective fields, possess core independent intellectual property rights, and demonstrate strong innovation capabilities. Both the quantity and quality of these champions serve as crucial indicators for gauging the development level of regional manufacturing industries.

Currently, STEP elevator control system business has established a product portfolio centered around intelligent elevator control cabinets, integrated elevator controllers, elevator variable-frequency drives, and door-machine controllers. STEP intelligent elevator control cabinets integrate technologies such as the Internet of Things, big data, functional safety, four-quadrant variable-frequency drives, and intelligent diagnostics, enabling elevators to feature smart interconnectivity, self-diagnosis and predictive maintenance, energy efficiency, intelligent interaction, and smart management—placing its overall technological level at the industry’s forefront.
Leveraging its technological strengths and industry expertise, STEP has launched an elevator cloud product that features three core functionalities: accessory certification, EOCD (Elevator Operation and Condition Data), and a monitoring dashboard. Paired with dedicated elevator cloud terminal devices and a cloud platform, this solution can effectively detect issues related to the electrical and mechanical aspects of elevators. It connects various stakeholders—including component and complete elevator manufacturers, maintenance and repair providers, property management companies, passengers, and regulatory authorities—thus creating a safe and healthy ecosystem for the elevator industry.
For 27 years, STEP has been deeply rooted in the elevator industry, pioneering domestic technological breakthroughs and eventually leading global advancements.
