The company boasts a national-level enterprise technology center and a postdoctoral research workstation, and has nurtured numerous outstanding young scientific and technological talents. Among them, Dr. Chen Wei, Director of the Enterprise Technology Center, has devoted over ten years to the field of industrial transmission, consistently engaging in R&D related to motor control technologies. Under his leadership, the team has remained committed to independent development of core technologies, successfully overcoming challenges such as sensorless vector control for AC motors, servo self-tuning technology, and robot vibration suppression technology. As a result, STEP has achieved independent control over key core technologies, establishing a solid theoretical foundation and accumulating extensive R&D experience. Dr. Chen Wei has been granted 32 nationally authorized invention patents and has published a total of 24 academic papers in journals such as SCI and EI. He has received numerous honors, including the Shanghai Craftsman Award, the Shanghai May Day Labor Medal, the Jiading District Leading Talent in Science and Technology, and the Jiading District Talent in Short Supply and High Demand, and has also received funding from the Shanghai Talent Development Fund.
Dr. Chen Wei has presided over and participated in numerous research projects, including the National Key R&D Program, the National Science and Technology Support Program, and the Shanghai Municipal Industrial Foundation Strengthening Program. The science and technology tackling projects led by and in which his R&D team has participated have each received: First Prize of Heilongjiang Province Science and Technology Award, Third Prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Award, Silver Award for Outstanding Invention in the Shanghai Excellent Invention Selection Competition, and Technical Invention Award of the Higher Education Institutions’ Outstanding Scientific and Technological Research Achievements (Science and Technology), among other science and technology awards.
