Background Introduction
With the advancement of artificial intelligence technology, facial recognition has already been applied in scenarios such as access control and turnstiles. In contactless elevator usage scenarios, facial-recognition-based elevator call systems—representing a novel approach to elevator access control—have attracted widespread attention from users. Leveraging its own strengths in control systems, STEP has conducted in-depth research into facial-recognition-based elevator call technology and explored its application scenarios more thoroughly. Following a series of product validation tests, a facial-recognition-based elevator call solution with distinctive STEP features has now emerged.

1. Install a facial recognition all-in-one device at an appropriate location inside the elevator car, which communicates with the system to enable permission-based elevator calls.
2. Supports dynamic anti-counterfeiting, effectively filtering out deceptive methods such as static photos;
3. Possesses excellent nighttime recognition performance;
4. Supports both LAN and cloud deployment modes;
5. Supports the storage of massive amounts of local facial photos and recognition record information;
6. Possess a rapid identification and response mechanism for quickly registering the destination floor.
7. Supports stranger detection and can capture and save on-site photos;
8. It can obtain elevator malfunction information; in cloud-deployed mode, it can capture facial data to detect and alert on trapped-person incidents, thereby supporting emergency rescue efforts.
9. This solution can be integrated with the smartphone-based elevator call system to achieve complementary advantages.
