STEP Report on Participation in the German International Elevator Exhibition

In the golden autumn of October, as the fruits of the season ripen abundantly, Interlift 2019—the International Elevator, Components and Accessories Exhibition—was held as scheduled in the beautiful and tranquil city of Augsburg, Germany. Founded in 1991, the German Elevator Exhibition is held every two years and has been successfully organized for 14 consecutive sessions. It is a world-class trade show dedicated to elevator machinery manufacturing and component technologies, and also ranks among the largest and most influential exhibitions in the global elevator industry. The exhibition serves as a platform for product showcases, exchange of experience, trade negotiations, and market development. It provides a centralized stage for elevator companies worldwide to display their latest research achievements and gain insight into emerging industry trends. Moreover, it offers an excellent opportunity for leading global brands—and especially outstanding Chinese brands—to showcase their strengths and capabilities.
This year’s elevator exhibition has added new exhibition halls, further expanding the total exhibition area to 46,500 square meters. It is reported that more than 570 exhibitors from 46 countries are participating in this year’s show. The event provides a platform for elevator companies worldwide to showcase their products, exchange experiences, engage in trade negotiations, and explore new markets.
Interlift 2019
This time, our STEP Germany company is exhibiting in Hall 9, showcasing the latest products including European-standard residential ladder control cabinets, the AS380 contactless integrated unit, the AS320 variable-frequency drive specifically designed for elevators, the AS330 variable-frequency drive for elevator door systems, the AS300 variable-frequency drive for escalators, as well as escalator control boards and components. These exhibits fully demonstrate our company’s R&D capabilities and have attracted numerous new and existing professional customers to come and consult and negotiate.
Today, STEP products are sold across all continents and regions worldwide, earning the trust of customers around the globe. In the broader context of economic globalization, import and export trade is becoming increasingly frequent, and the global elevator market continues to develop steadily. Hall No. 1, which is closest to the exhibition hall’s entrance, mostly houses European-based companies, and its exhibition spaces are all beautifully and impressively arranged. Our key client from the European division, Greek Coleman, is also located in this hall. Since we had scheduled a meeting with the client in advance, we attended a business meeting in the exhibition hall with the Technical and Procurement Directors from their headquarters in Greece. During the meeting, we discussed several issues related to our current business and laid out plans for potential new collaborative projects next year.

I was fortunate to meet many partners from the elevator industry—this trip truly lived up to its promise. During the few days of the exhibition, we held business discussions with clients at their booths (from Germany, France, Italy, and other countries) and also visited the booths of domestic suppliers and partners, gaining a wealth of valuable insights and experiences.
