With the widespread adoption of IoT technology for elevators across the country, local governments are also conducting comprehensive pilot programs and promoting IoT-based smart elevator projects, hoping to leverage IoT solutions to strengthen daily elevator supervision and ensure passenger safety. In recent years, IoT-based smart elevator standards issued by various localities have all included application scenarios involving audio, video, and multimedia. In some regions, these have even been stipulated as mandatory requirements, mandating the inclusion of relevant products and features.
To better meet various local standards and further enhance the Xingchen IoT Xingchen e-Box product line for elevators, STEP recently launched the full-function terminal ESDT405 of the Xingchen e-Box.
Technical Features of the ESDT405 Terminal
1. Equipped with a built-in lithium battery and charge/discharge management module, it eliminates the need for an additional bulky backup power supply. It supports power-loss detection and meets the requirements of GB-24476.
2. Supports remote program updates.
3.4G all-network compatible module, supporting services from China Mobile, China Unicom, China Telecom, and overseas operators.
4. Supports customization of both the terminal-to-motherboard protocol and the terminal-to-platform protocol.
5.1 WAN port, supports DHCP Ethernet network connection.
6.4 LAN ports, supporting 4G or Ethernet routing modes, provide network interfaces for IP cameras, multimedia displays, and other network-port-enabled devices (such as additional external sensor acquisition boards, etc.).
7. Equipped with a Wi-Fi hotspot, it supports network parameter configuration for terminals via mobile devices such as smartphones.
8.1 CAN interface, 1 RS485 interface, 1 RS232 interface, and 2 dry contact inputs.
9. Rich operational status indicators that can display the network signal quality, server connection and interaction, motherboard interaction, routing interface, and other operational statuses.
10. Standard rail-mounted installation.
11. Narrowband and broadband operate relatively independently to ensure reliable operation.
12. Supports the collection of elevator operation data and can provide an internet access interface for audio and video devices.
