Xiao’ao Kunshan Factory: A Stunning Industrial Landscape

 

 

As we toured the factory, we saw a car assembly line in the workshop, where more than ninety robots were being assembled and debugged. Workers and technicians, clad in STEP Xia'ao work uniforms and wearing STEP safety helmets with blue lettering on a white background, were calmly and methodically carrying out the final debugging procedures. First-class robotic arms from world-renowned brands, first-class robot control cabinets, first-class car assembly lines, first-class Kanban management, and first-class operational conditions—everything at Xia'ao’s Kunshan factory can be summed up in two words: “first-class.” Among Kunshan’s enterprises, Xia'ao truly stands out as a striking industrial landmark.

 

The Ω Series Servo Powers the China Robotics Summit

 

 

 

Sigriner has successfully partnered with Shanghai STEP Electric Co., Ltd., marking a new milestone for STEP Sigriner Elektronik GmbH. In 2016, as the wave of Intelligent Manufacturing 2025 swept across China, Sigriner joined forces with a local Chinese technology team to develop the Ω-series servo drive products. Xinglinna, leveraging Germany’s core drive and control technologies and integrating China’s smart manufacturing concepts from its factories, delivers users an exceptional drive and control product experience and cutting-edge solutions.

 

STEP Robot Servo – Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Progress Award

 

 

This project falls within the field of advanced manufacturing and core foundational component technologies. The high-performance servo system for robots developed under this project possesses key features essential for modern robotics—such as intelligence, networking, high efficiency, modularity, and enhanced safety. It represents a significant technological breakthrough in the robotics sector. The project conducts innovative research in five core technology areas: intelligent parameter adjustment technology that eliminates the need for manual tuning; adaptive bus interfaces and high-precision synchronization technology among nodes; energy-saving technology for servo systems under minimum energy consumption constraints; optimized servo motor technology that delivers high responsiveness, high energy efficiency, and low torque ripple; and intrinsic safety technology for servo systems. The products resulting from this project exhibit creativity and novelty in both principle and design, and they represent a major advancement in terms of meeting the demands of the robotics industry, overall performance, and adaptability to various application scenarios. Upgrade to achieve an internationally advanced level of integrated technology.

 

The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Relies Heavily on STEP Elevator Control Systems.

 

 

On the numerous elevators operating on the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, the Xintida elevator control system has been entrusted with a critical role. These elevators have a lifting height of 100 meters and operate at a speed of 1 meter per second. Since the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge opened to traffic on October 24, 2018, the elevators have maintained an excellent operational record, demonstrating that the Xintida elevator control system can withstand even the harshest environmental conditions. The team at Xintida feels deeply proud to have contributed to this key national project!

 

The mainstay of smart factories: STEPeng industrial robots.

 

 

At the Shanghai plant of Jingjin Electric, a fully automated production line churns out one motor every three minutes—with absolutely no workers on the assembly line. It’s a “dark factory”—a facility that can keep chugging along even with the lights turned off. The star performer on this production line is precisely the STEP industrial robot. As the nation accelerates its industrial upgrading and actively promotes the development of smart factories, STEP robots have been tirelessly contributing their part!
