On December 5, 2018, the “2018 Shanghai Top 100 Achievements in High-Tech Achievement Transformation” conference, hosted by the Shanghai Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Center, was held at the China Financial Information Center. Leaders from relevant municipal commissions and offices—including the Municipal Science and Technology Commission, the Municipal Development and Reform Commission, the Municipal State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, the Municipal Economic and Informatization Commission, the Municipal Education Commission, the Municipal Commerce Commission, the Municipal Finance Bureau, the Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, the Municipal Intellectual Property Bureau, and the Municipal Market Supervision and Administration Bureau—attended the meeting.
At the event, the “2017 Shanghai Annual Report on High-Tech Achievement Transformation Projects” was released. The event also presented awards to the “Top 100” high-tech achievement transformation projects in Shanghai for 2017, the “Top 10 in Independent Innovation,” and the “Pioneering Figures.” Additionally, outstanding teams and individuals from Shanghai’s high-tech achievement transformation liaison stations were recognized. Furthermore, thematic sharing sessions and a roundtable forum were held, focusing on the theme of scientific and technological achievement transformation.
In 2017, the top 100 projects achieved total sales of 17.147 billion yuan, accounting for 19.79% of the total sales of high-tech transformation projects for the year. Yet, the number of top 100 projects accounted for only 2.46% of the total number of projects included in the statistical analysis. The average sales per project reached 171 million yuan—approximately five times the average sales per project overall. These projects generated profits totaling 5.898 billion yuan and paid taxes amounting to 827 million yuan.
Shanghai STEP Electric Co., Ltd.’s high-tech transformation project, the “SE-type Elevator Controller,” has been selected as one of the “Top 100 Shanghai High-Tech Achievement Transformation Projects for 2017.”
Wang Peng, General Manager of the STEP Electrical Business Division, has been named one of the “2017 Shanghai Pioneers in the Commercialization of High-Tech Achievements.”
Wang Peng, General Manager of the STEP Electric Business Division, is primarily responsible for projects including the Elevator Xingchen IoT, AS380 drive controller, C7000 intelligent integrated drive control system, SE-type elevator controller, and AS smart drive. He has participated in projects under the National Science and Technology Support Program and contributed to the development of six national technical standards. He holds 34 authorized patents, including 20 invention patents, and has published 18 scientific papers.
