On November 8, the "China Robotics Summit Forum and the 3rd CEO Roundtable Summit" was held at the Xijiao Hotel in Shanghai. The theme of the conference was "Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Technology." The forum was moderated by Dai Liu, Vice Chairman of the Finance and Economic Committee of the Shanghai Municipal People's Congress and President of the Shanghai Robotics Industry Association (far left).

In his speech on “Industrial Robots and Artificial Intelligence,” Cai Liang, President of STEP, explored the concept of intelligent machines—machines endowed with autonomous capabilities in perception, cognition, decision-making, learning, execution, and social collaboration, aligning with human emotions, ethics, and moral values. He also discussed the three stages of integrating industrial robots with artificial intelligence: Perception + Execution (pre-programmed), Internet of Things + Big Data (machine learning), and Deep Learning + Cognitive Reasoning (probabilistic modeling, stochastic computation). Furthermore, he touched upon industrial robot vision and tactile sensing—applications such as weld wire positioning, arc tracking, laser tracking, 3D vision, teach-by-dragging, flexible assembly, and collision detection—as well as the integration of industrial robots with IoT, big data, machine learning, and autonomous programming. Finally, he addressed the issue of the deep integration between industrial robots and artificial intelligence.
