On July 9, a research team led by Qu Xianming, Deputy Director of the National Industrial Foundation Expert Committee and Director of the Manufacturing Research Office at the Strategic Consulting Center of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, paid a special visit to STEP. Accompanying the team were Shi Wenlu, Deputy Director of the Technical Progress Division of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, and other officials. Wu Yuhui, Director and General Manager of STEP, met with the team of experts.

Director Qu Xianming listened to a briefing on the situation at STEP Da, toured STEP Da’s robotics factory, asked questions about supply chain security and the progress of domesticating key components, and introduced relevant national policies and measures.
Visit the STEP Robot Production Line
After inspecting the robot production line at STEP Robotics’ site and gaining a detailed understanding of STEP products and market expansion efforts, Director Qu stated that as the first Chinese robotics company to exceed 20,000 units in shipments, STEP has already moved beyond the early stages of prototype development and trial-and-error market exploration. Going forward, STEP must strengthen its technological R&D, focus on niche markets, accelerate its path toward large-scale robot manufacturing, and actively strive to align itself with world-class international brands, thereby becoming a leading domestic brand!
