STEP 2023 City Station Tour – Second Stop: A Record of the Wenling Water Industry Study and Research Group’s Visit

On April 10, 2023, on the auspicious day of Shiwili, as springtime ushered in the Yangchun season, the beautiful Jiading plant welcomed a group visit by 40 leaders from the Zhejiang Wenling Water Industry Study and Research Group.
Led by Mr. Ye Qing, General Manager of the Frequency Conversion Drive Division of STEP, and Sales Directors Ms. Zhang Yonghong and Mr. Liu Boyu, the STEP water industry team welcomed the research and study group’s bus in front of the company gate. Both sides posed for a commemorative photo by the Satisfaction Pond.
In the conference room of STEP Academy, Mr. Lei Chengcai, Industry Manager of STEP, chaired the meeting, and General Manager Ye Qing delivered a welcoming speech. The Chairman of the Wenling Pump Association gave an impromptu speech, elaborating on the issues, objectives, and methods of the study and research program.
Subsequently, guided by the team from STEP Water Industry, the study tour group visited in turn the robot application exhibition area, the robot production workshop, the fully integrated, variable-frequency drive automated production line, the high-power transmission assembly workshop, the SMT production workshop, the R&D hall, and the CNAS laboratory. The leaders of the study tour group gained a comprehensive understanding of STEP processes for automation, digital design, production, inspection, and delivery, and gave these processes high praise.
Mr. Yang Sheng, a technical expert from the STEP Water Team, provided a comprehensive introduction to the STEP Group and highlighted STEP water industry solutions and specific case studies.
During the dinner, guests and hosts engaged in an in-depth discussion on topics including leading design, R&D, manufacturing, organizational practices, carbon emissions, and the application of new-generation variable-frequency drives in the pump industry. Dr. Shen from the Research Institute of Jiangsu University delivered a keynote speech and answered questions from participants.
