From June 5 to 7, 2023, the Shanghai Clover (National Exhibition and Convention Center) will bloom like summer lotuses and exude the fragrant elegance of magnolias. During the exhibition, STEPeng also attracted attention from numerous industry media outlets. In an interview with Pump Friends Circle, Ye Qing, General Manager of STEP Variable Frequency Drive Division, shared insightful perspectives on topics such as development opportunities in the VFD industry, as well as the philosophy and value behind STEP product solutions.
According to the introduction, STEP variable-frequency drive products now cover the entire chain—from water intake and conveyance to drainage and wastewater treatment—and the product layout is essentially complete. PD110 Inverter
Known as the “little Pi Di” of the water industry, this product is specially designed for applications such as residential pumps and agricultural irrigation. Level control and flow rate settings can both be configured with a single touch, offering simple and user-friendly human-machine interaction. It features a 500-meter-long motor cable that’s also resistant to water splashes, ensuring robustness, durability, energy efficiency, high performance, ease of operation, and reliable performance.
AS180N Inverter
The newly upgraded AS180 inverter, a long-standing flagship product from STEP, has been on the market for over a decade in the water industry. The new model boasts higher power density and an even more extensive selection of optional features, helping customers save on cabinet assembly costs and providing greater convenience in operation and application.
D150 Smart Controller
This is an integrated smart controller designed specifically for submersible sewage pumps. Compared to conventional smart controllers, it boasts a higher protection rating—IP54—which makes it suitable for use in environments characterized by high humidity, abundant dust, and the presence of corrosive gases. It features thoughtful application functions such as automatic restart upon no-load conditions, no-load protection, rust prevention, and water-level detection. Additionally, it provides reliable protection against dual-path motor overloads, short circuits, phase failures, and no-load conditions. The controller also offers intuitive visual displays showing animated status updates on load operation and water levels. In short, this product is truly “custom-made” for customers in the water supply industry.
AS170Plus Inverter
STEP has specially developed an intelligent, efficient, quiet, and reliable frequency converter tailored for secondary water supply customers in the water industry. This converter addresses numerous pain points faced by customers, such as the frequent pump start-stop issues that arise when controlling multiple pumps with a frequency converter, as well as the problem of pumps frequently waking up and going to sleep.
