STEP deep-rooted connection with vocational education and skills competitions began with its proactive alignment with the nation’s strategy of building a manufacturing powerhouse. In 2017, under the leadership of the Ministry of Education, a vocational education cooperation project in the field of industrial robotics—aimed at deepening the integration of industry and education—was officially launched.
As one of the core implementing partners of this project, STEP has been deeply involved in the entire process—from selecting over a hundred partner institutions nationwide to specifically implementing the “Memorandum of Cooperation on Vocational Education in the Industrial Robotics Field.” We have systematically introduced advanced robotic equipment, core technologies, and supporting curriculum resources into campuses, thereby laying a solid foundation for our long-term, in-depth engagement in the cultivation of highly skilled professionals.

In 2018, Zhongweixing provided a complete robotic platform for the provincial mechatronics competition; in 2020, it offered technical support for Shanghai’s first Industrial Robot Application Competition; in 2021, it supplied equipment and conducted system training for the provincial welding competition; and in 2024, it served as the sole designated equipment supplier, providing comprehensive support for the Guizhou Vocational College Competition. 1. Deeply involved in the 3rd Vocational Skills Competition of the People's Republic of China We have provided 32 robot workstations and simulation software for the national competition’s selected projects on industrial robot system operation, ensuring a “zero-failure” operation of the event.
2. At the Guangdong Province Marine Economy Vocational Skills Competition Provide robotic equipment for the specialized competition event “Marine Equipment Welding Technology,” thereby supporting the cultivation of emerging talents under the national strategy of building a strong maritime nation.
3. Officially launch and host the 2025 "STEP Cup" Robotics Skills Application Competition. From supporter to platform creator, sparking innovative vitality in the industry.
