According to reports, since being put into operation, the AS800 series high-voltage variable frequency drives have been operating continuously and reliably in Quanji Company’s demanding industrial environment, showcasing three key highlights:

1. Highly reliable design ensures continuous and stable production.

The AS800 series features a highly reliable, all-in-one design with a standard service life of up to 20 years. In actual operation at Quanji Company, this series of variable frequency drives has demonstrated long-term, uninterrupted, and stable performance, providing robust support for continuous production line operations. Equipped with an “online bypass function for power units,” the system can automatically switch to bypass mode when individual power units experience abnormalities, ensuring that the system remains operational without downtime and significantly enhancing overall reliability and production efficiency.

2. Strong energy-saving effects, vigorously promoting green development.

During operation, this series of frequency converters achieves a power factor on the input side as high as 0.96 to 0.97, significantly reducing reactive power losses. Thanks to advanced vector control and multi-level output technology, the overall efficiency of the equipment remains consistently high. By replacing traditional valve throttling control with frequency conversion regulation, throttling losses are completely eliminated, resulting in a 25% to 35% reduction in energy consumption per retrofitted motor. This provides solid technological support for Quanjiji Company’s green and low-carbon development.

3. Friendly to the power grid/motor, requiring no additional investment.

The AS800 series employs multi-pulse rectification technology, ensuring that the input current harmonic distortion remains below 4%, fully complying with the IEEE 519 international standard and eliminating the need for additional harmonic mitigation devices. Its output waveform closely approximates a perfect sine wave, effectively reducing motor losses, protecting the motor’s insulation system, and extending the service life of both motors and drive equipment. From a long-term perspective, this approach further lowers overall maintenance costs.

Building on the long-term industrial validation of its third-generation products, STEP has officially launched the AS800 series fourth-generation high-voltage variable frequency drive G4. While continuing the legacy of high reliability, high efficiency, and user-friendliness, the new model achieves several technological upgrades:

Integration and Enhanced Usability:

The structural design is more compact, with a 40% reduction in volume compared to the previous-generation product, and supports modular, rapid installation and replacement. The human-machine interaction interface has been comprehensively optimized, enabling remote monitoring and data integration, making it better suited for industrial internet application environments.

Reliability further upgraded:

Equipped with a new-generation high-voltage film capacitor, it boasts strong ripple current resistance, excellent overvoltage tolerance, and requires no activation after prolonged storage. The inverter can operate throughout its entire lifecycle without the need for replacement.

New breakthrough in energy efficiency optimization:

Adopting a new-generation adaptive energy-efficiency algorithm, the unit efficiency exceeds 99.1% and achieves even better efficiency across the entire load range.

Deepening Environmental Design:

Operating losses have been further reduced, and the cooling system has been made more efficient, helping users achieve even stricter low-carbon production targets. Taking a 10kV, 1250kW unit as an example, daily energy savings exceed 204kW/h.
