Members of the STEP Elevator Cloud Team Receive Prestigious Award from the Shanghai Society of Automation

On October 8, 2023, the 10th Congress of Members of the Shanghai Society of Automation was held in Shanghai.
The Shanghai Society of Automation had 120 member representatives attending the meeting. Xi Yujing, former Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Shanghai Society of Automation, attended the meeting as a guest. The meeting was chaired by the Vice Chairman of the Society’s 9th term. During the conference, a ceremony was held to appoint and confer appointment letters on all newly elected key members of the board of directors, followed by the award ceremony for the 2022 annual prizes.
Du Chao, a member of the STEP Elevator Cloud Team, has been awarded the title of “Outstanding Young Science and Technology Worker of the Shanghai Automation Society” for 2022. This award is presented every two years, and a total of two individuals were honored this time. Du Chao currently serves as the Manager of the Elevator Cloud Product Management Department. His primary research focuses on key cloud computing technologies and systems tailored for elevators, and he is also responsible for related marketing and promotion efforts. He has led or participated in numerous major elevator-cloud projects, including spearheading the successful completion of 21 smart regulatory integration projects with government platforms, among them one in Shanghai. He holds the position of Deputy Head of the Seventh Working Group (SAC/TC196/WG7) of the Fifth National Technical Committee for Elevator Standardization, and has contributed to the development of two national standards for the Internet of Things. He has been granted 18 invention patents, filed one international PCT patent application, and published 21 academic papers.
