Northwest Outlook | STEP Makes a Spectacular Debut at the Xi'an Advanced Manufacturing & Military Technology Expo

In July, the land of Sanqin is brimming with vitality everywhere.
From July 18 to 20, the Xi'an International Convention and Exhibition Center hosted the second “China (Xi'an) Advanced Manufacturing & Digital Industry Expo and China (Xi'an) Military-Industrial Technology Industry Expo” in grand style.
STEP showcased its industrial robot products, comprehensive solutions, and new motion control technologies. STEP demonstrated its innovative capabilities and latest achievements in the field of intelligent manufacturing, and will work closely with its partners to jointly promote the sustained development of intelligent manufacturing and the digital ecosystem in the northwest region.
This marks STEP first market expansion initiative in the Northwest region, following the establishment of the STEP Xi’an High-end Equipment Manufacturing Software Application Research Institute in 2022 and STEP Robotics’ large-scale provision of services to China’s domestic new-energy vehicle industry in 2023.

Zhang Chunhui, R&D Director of STEP Zhongweixing SCARA Robots, was invited to deliver a speech at the 2024 New Quality Productivity Intelligent Manufacturing Industry Development Forum, held concurrently with the exhibition.
Zhang Chunhui introduced STEP R&D achievements and application cases in the robotics field, particularly in the area of autonomous and controllable technologies. Specifically, robot drive and control have achieved 100% autonomous and controllable capability, with complete mastery of key technologies such as robot controllers, servo drives, and system software.
Going forward, STEP will focus on manufacturing sectors with high local industrial concentration—such as new energy, automobiles, automotive components, construction machinery, and the defense industry—and provide products including robots and motion control systems to serve the northwest Chinese market. This will help boost the development of new-quality productivity in the region and empower the digital transformation of the industrial sector.
