An Exploration of the Development of the Industrial Robot Industry Chain The practical theme involves visiting Hangzhou Zhishan Intelligent Control Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of STEP, to conduct research and investigation into the motion control and robotics industries.
At 9 a.m., the group of Tsinghua University faculty and students arrived at Zhi Shan in Hangzhou. Mr. Qian Wei, Assistant to the Chairman of STEP Academy, warmly welcomed the Tsinghua faculty and students who had traveled from afar on behalf of STEP.
First, the two sides held a symposium and exchange meeting. Chen Kaiqiang, a research and development engineer from Zhi Shan Zhikong, introduced the servo system—the core component of motion control—and conducted a comparative analysis of STEP’s products with similar products both domestically and internationally. This enhanced the students’ understanding of servo systems and provided them with a more intuitive grasp of the current state and future development trends of servo systems.
Subsequently, Li Daxin, Manager of the Software Development Department at STEP Robotics, introduced product knowledge about industrial robots and provided a detailed overview of STEP recent developments in the robotics industry as well as its technological advantages. During the seminar, participants engaged in lively discussions. In response to questions from Tsinghua faculty and students regarding servo control technology and robotic applications, the two professors offered patient analyses and thorough explanations.
After the roundtable discussion and exchange, General Manager Qian led everyone on a tour of the exhibition hall, where he introduced the development history of STEP Group and its motion control products.
Afterward, teachers and students from Tsinghua University visited the servo drive production line and the OTIS control cabinet production line, gaining a preliminary understanding of the product manufacturing processes and testing procedures. During the tour, everyone showed great interest in the structural principles of the products and engaged in lively discussions with the production and process engineers on site.
Through this hands-on practical activity, the delegation from Tsinghua University—comprising faculty and students—gained a deep understanding of the core principles behind STEP technological innovation as well as its development strengths in the fields of motion control and intelligent manufacturing. At the same time, their knowledge of China’s motion control and robotics industries was significantly enhanced. This event also fostered closer cooperation and exchanges between STEP and renowned domestic universities. We sincerely hope that more talented individuals from prestigious institutions like Tsinghua University will join STEP, thereby contributing to its long-term growth and development.
