STEP serves as a director unit of the Yangtze River Delta Robotics Industry Platform Innovation Alliance.

The Yangtze River Delta Robotics Industry Platform Innovation Alliance, chaired by Academician Jianrong Tan of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, was initiated by a number of robotics research institutions, including the Shanghai Robotics Industry Technology Research Institute, the Huzhou Green Intelligent Manufacturing Technology Research Institute, the Xiangcheng Robotics and Intelligent Equipment Research Institute of Soochow University, the Ningbo Intelligent Manufacturing Industry Research Institute, the Robotics Research Center of the University of Science and Technology of China, and the Yangtze River Basin Intelligent Manufacturing and Robotics Industry Alliance. The alliance aims to transform the Yangtze River Delta region into a robust and dynamic growth pole for China’s robotics industry, as well as an Asia-Pacific gateway for resource allocation, and to establish it as a global hub for technological innovation in the robotics industry. The alliance’s primary functions include conducting collaborative innovation in robotics technologies, analyzing the current status of industrial application technology research, jointly tackling common key technologies, developing major products, promoting application and commercialization of research results, matching robotics applications with specific scenarios, building a global robotics industry map, interpreting international and domestic standards and regulatory requirements, and creating a robotics industry innovation consortium that reaches world-class standards.

At this conference, the Yangtze River Delta Robotics Industry Platform Innovation Alliance held its launch ceremony. At the invitation of the alliance, STEP has become a member of the alliance’s board of directors.
