STEP Wins 8 Annual Awards in the Motion Control Field for 2020

On December 17, the "2020 Smart Manufacturing & CMCD Motion Control/CDDIA Direct Drive Annual Awards" ceremony, jointly organized by China Transmission Network, the China Motion Control Industry Alliance, the China Direct Drive Industry Alliance, and the magazines "Servo & Motion Control" and "Direct Drive & Transmission," was held in Shenzhen. The event announced the winners of various awards for the CMCD/CDDIA 2020 Annual Awards, recognizing outstanding brand names, innovative technology products, and remarkable contributions made by leading enterprise managers in the motion control/direct drive industry this year, thereby helping the industry move forward with determination.
Subsidiaries under STEP—including Shanghai Huitong, Hangzhou Zhishan, Shenzhen Zhongweixing, and Shanghai Baijiang—as well as the Motion Control Division, have joined forces to empower the motion control industry. At this awards ceremony, they won a total of 8 awards, placing them at the top in terms of the number of awards received within the motion control sector.
01. Special Contribution Award – Person | Mr. Su Chongde
Mr. Su Chongde, founder of Shanghai Huitong Automation Technology Development Co., Ltd., has been awarded the CMCD Special Contribution Award for 20 Years of Motion Control (2000-2020).
Mr. Su Chongde entered the industrial control field in 1972 and was a member of the national expert group tasked with tackling key technologies in CNC during the Sixth and Seventh Five-Year Plans. With nearly five decades of industry experience, he is truly a “giant” in the field. He personally organized and led market development and product improvements, making outstanding contributions to the advancement of the industry—and indeed, to the development of China’s manufacturing sector.
