The training facility and equipment project for cultivating high-skilled talents in Shanghai’s robotics industry is supervised by the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security and the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization. It is led by the Shanghai Institute of Electrical Science (Group) Co., Ltd. and implemented through construction by Shanghai STEP Electric Co., Ltd.

Project Name: Welding Robot System Debugging and Training Center
The project includes 8 robotic workstations, 1 real-machine operation platform for robot debugging, and 2 training classrooms equipped with simulation kits and computers.

The project received approval from the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security in November 2016 and was completed in October 2017. On October 18, 2018, the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security convened a panel of 10 experts from the fields of industry, finance, and equipment to conduct an inspection and on-site assessment of the project. The panel concluded that the project had successfully passed acceptance testing.
Project Review
The training center has an annual capacity of 400 trainees. Once completed, the center will not only provide high-skilled talent development for STEP but also offer training services to cultivate high-skilled professionals in the robotics field for the entire city of Shanghai.
