STEP Robotics | The First Batch of Enterprises Meeting the "Industry Normative Conditions for Industrial Robots"

On June 15, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology officially released the list of companies that meet the "Industry Standards for the Industrial Robot Sector," and STEP Robotics was among them.

The “Industry Normative Conditions for Industrial Robots” is an industry regulation formulated by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China to encourage manufacturers of industrial robot bodies and companies engaged in integrated applications of industrial robots to produce and manufacture in compliance with these normative conditions. In the current context of a “flourishing diversity” among domestically produced industrial robots, establishing stringent industry norms will help promote the healthy and orderly development of the industrial robotics sector.

The "Industry Normative Conditions for Industrial Robots" primarily focuses on several key aspects, including the enterprise’s overall capabilities, its ability to ensure product quality, its R&D and innovation capacity, and the strength of its talent pool. It requires enterprises to possess independent R&D, production, and specialized technical service capabilities; to be equipped with appropriate production, testing, and R&D equipment; and to establish quality management systems and integrated IT-OT management systems that comply with the GB/T 19001-2015 standard. The product manufacturing process must be standardized and controllable, and the products must have gained market recognition.
