Setting Sail Once More | The groundbreaking ceremony for the Zhongweixing Dongguan Songshan Lake Industrial Park project of STEP Group officially took place.

On October 10, 2017, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Dongguan Songshan Lake Industrial Park project of Shenzhen Zhongweixing Technology Co., Ltd.—a member of the STEP Group—was held with great pomp and circumstance. STEP is building three robotics R&D and industrialization bases in Shanghai, Kunshan, and Dongguan, demonstrating its ambitious vision in the field of intelligent manufacturing of industrial robots.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, group leaders including Ji Yi, Chairman of the STEP Group; Yuan Zhongmin, Vice Chairman; Zeng Yi, Vice President and Chairman of Zhongweixing; Hu Zhitao, Vice President; and Yang Lisha, Vice President, as well as government officials including Zhuo Qing, Deputy Director of the Dongguan Songshan Lake Management Committee, Zhongweixing’s partners, and Zhongweixing employees, all attended together.
Ji Yi, Chairman of the STEP Group, delivered a speech. Since joining the STEP Group in 2013, Zhongweixing has focused on developing transportation control and industrial robotics businesses, providing comprehensive, turnkey transportation control solutions for both domestic and international enterprises. It has gradually become a leading provider of transportation control solutions in China. Several of Zhongweixing’s technologies and products have reached internationally advanced levels. Its pioneering integrated drive-and-control technology solution has steered the R&D of domestically produced robots toward a new direction, and its SCARA robot series has become the top domestic brand.
Zhongweixing still has ample room for growth. With the assistance of leaders at all levels in the Songshan Lake Park and the support of friends from various sectors, the industrialization project for Zhongweixing controllers in Songshan Lake has officially been launched. The project is planned to occupy 21,000 square meters of land and have a total construction area of 100,000 square meters. It will comprise two research and development buildings and will focus on expanding its business in motion control and robotics.
A good start is half the battle! Our goal is to build Zhongweixing Motion Control and Zhongweixing Robotics into globally renowned brands, leveraging the Shenshan Lake project as our foundation and drawing on the park’s excellent resources. Ambitious goals keep us moving forward without pause, while realistic, attainable targets spur us to continually strive for excellence. Today’s groundbreaking ceremony marks the starting signal for our journey toward these goals. In just two more years, a brand-new Zhongweixing Industrial Park will rise here. “In the future, industrial robots with an annual output of 10,000 units will be manufactured here, and annual sales of 100,000 motion control systems will take off from here. From this very spot, Zhongweixing will set out on its journey to the world!” Zeng Yi’s speech was filled with high spirits and unwavering determination.
