Loving Support for Education: Walking Together All the Way | STEP and Shandong University Jointly Launch Summer Donation and Teaching Support Activities

In August, STEP joined forces with the Lianxin Teaching Support Team from Shandong University to form a charitable activity group. Together, they carried out volunteer teaching and charitable donation activities aimed at teenagers in various locations including Baiyin in Gansu, Zibo in Shandong, and Xinxiang, Luoyang, and Xiangcheng in Henan.
At the Extracurricular Activity Center for Youth and Students in Pingchuan District, Baiyin City, Gansu Province, a caring volunteer group donated sports equipment—including soccer balls and basketballs—to the children at Jiaokou Primary School. They also donated over 2,000 books of various types, including classic Chinese and foreign literature, literary stories, and science-themed picture books. In addition, the group helped establish a “My Bookstore” at Jiaokou Primary School. Through the “My Bookstore, My Dream” reading program for young children, they aim to encourage rural primary and secondary school students to find joy in reading, expand their knowledge, improve their overall quality, develop good reading habits, and enrich their cultural lives during the summer vacation.
At Fengzhuang Primary School in Fengzhuang Town, Xinxiang, Henan Province, the school held a donation ceremony. Children, holding the donated items in their hands, gathered together with joyful smiles on their faces, creating an everlasting memory. The volunteer teaching team spent three weeks here providing free educational support. During the cultural performance, the energetic children presented one wonderful act after another.
The charity activity group held simultaneous events at several schools, including Baisha Town Junior High School in Yichuan County, Luoyang, Henan Province; the Fourth Junior High School in Guanhui Town, Xiangcheng County, Henan Province; and the Youth Home in Yiyuan County, Shandong Province. Along the way, we’ve been deeply touched by the children’s innocent faces and their eyes sparkling with curiosity. These vibrant, sunlit blossoms—full of youthful energy—are precisely the future pillars who will build our motherland. We hope that the charitable initiatives undertaken by Xindat and Shandong University will enable these children to immerse themselves in the ocean of knowledge and fully enjoy the joy of growing up.
