Wuxi’s smart manufacturing initiative is setting sail. In his work report, Li Xin, President of the Association, pointed out that in 2017, the Association will actively promote Wuxi’s smart manufacturing projects, implement talent training programs, and provide solid foundational services. The Wuxi Robotics and Smart Manufacturing Association is Jiangsu Province’s first industry association dedicated to this field; its more than 140 member units include well-known enterprises in Wuxi’s smart manufacturing sector. Since its establishment one year ago, the Association has served as a bridge between Wuxi’s smart manufacturing enterprises and industrial enterprises with needs for technological upgrades. It has organized exchanges between member units and cities with advanced smart manufacturing capabilities, research institutes, and cutting-edge enterprises, thereby enhancing Wuxi’s smart manufacturing ecosystem and industry awareness. This effort is helping Wuxi’s enterprises transition from traditional manufacturing to smart manufacturing, and the Association’s social influence continues to grow.
STEP Robotics is supporting intelligent manufacturing in Wuxi. Cai Liang, General Manager of STEP Robotics, delivered a speech introducing the company’s product lineup and highlighting STEP Robotics’ implementation of smart manufacturing projects in Wuxi—including photovoltaic component production, white-body assembly for automobiles, 3C manufacturing, and machine tool processing. Mr. Cai stated that STEP Robotics is fully committed to engaging in various forms of collaboration with the Wuxi municipal government, enterprises, educational institutions, and other stakeholders, thereby contributing to the city’s industrial upgrading and intelligent manufacturing development!
