At the invitation of the organizers, Liu Changwen, President of STEP, delivered a keynote speech titled “From ‘Hard Power’ to ‘Ecological Power’: STEP Intelligent Leap Forward Empowered by Haier” at the main forum. In his speech, he shared how STEP, building on three decades of technological expertise, has leveraged AI to reshape its technology ecosystem and lead product innovation. Together with Haier, STEP is co-creating a new ecosystem for intelligent manufacturing—shifting from in-house R&D to co-creation with ecosystem partners, redefining collaborative relationships across the upstream and downstream value chain, and engaging in joint R&D and innovation based on user needs.
Meanwhile, Ding Xinzhong, General Manager of the STEP Motion Control Division, also delivered a special report titled “From ‘Hard Integration’ to ‘Soft Intelligence’: Unleashing the Value of Integrated Vision, Display, and Drive Control Powered by AI” at the sub-forum. The report systematically outlined the evolutionary path of automation technology—from the traditional stage of dedicated hardware integration, through the current stage of FA intelligence that integrates standard hardware with intelligent software, and ultimately toward the autonomous stage empowered by AI.
