Good News! Dr. Wei Chen from STEP has been awarded the National May Day Labor Medal.

On April 28, in Beijing, at the Great Hall of the People, the 2024 ceremony celebrating the International Labor Day—May 1—and the awards presentation for the National May Day Labor Awards and the National Model Worker Teams were held. Dr. Chen Wei, Director of the Enterprise Technology Center and Senior Engineer at STEP, was invited to attend and was awarded the National May Day Labor Medal in recognition of his groundbreaking achievements in overcoming industry challenges related to low-frequency vibration in robotics and realizing significant technological advancements.

From April 15 to 17, the “National Technical Exchange Conference on High-Quality Development of Gypsum Mortar and Home Decoration Auxiliary Materials” was held in Jinan, Shandong Province. The light of skills illuminates Guizhou, and STEP Robot paves the way for the birth of “welding” heroes.

Thanks to its high reliability, exceptional stability, and extensive competition experience, STEP Robotics has become the sole designated robot for this competition. To ensure the smooth running of the event, a technical working group—strongly supported by STEP—arrived ahead of time at Guizhou Institute of Industrial Technology. The group conducted pre-competition inspections and installation and debugging of all welding robots used in the competition, and will provide comprehensive on-site technical support throughout the duration of the event.
