In order to further strengthen the protection of trademark intellectual property rights in Shanghai, implement the 100 major measures of Shanghai’s expansion and opening up, promote the construction of Shanghai’s “four major brands”, increase the crackdown on violations of key trademark exclusive rights, and continuously establish and improve protection of key trademarks. Long-term supervision mechanism, to create a good environment for intellectual property protection, the Shanghai Administration for Industry and Commerce announced the "First Batch of Key Trademark Protection List in Shanghai" on November 2, 2018.
 
The directory includes White Rabbit WHITE RABBIT and Figure (Guanshengyuan (Group) Co., Ltd.), Zhonghua (Shanghai Meijiajing Daily Chemical Co., Ltd.), Chenguang (Shanghai Chenguang Stationery Co., Ltd.), UnionPay (China UnionPay Co., Ltd.) Xinmin Evening News (Wenhui Xinmin United Newspaper Group), Baosteel (Baoshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd.), STEP (Shanghai STEP Electric Co., Ltd.) , etc., are included in a total of 193 "key trademarks".
